Valley Outreach welcomes youth volunteers to help with the Food Shelf and StyleXchange clothing store! Youth volunteering has so many benefits that go beyond the obvious benefits to Valley Outreach and our clients. Youth volunteers realize lifelong impact including increased self-esteem and responsibility, using new social skills, promoting empathy, having an interest in learning and applying new skills, and overall greater life satisfaction!
General Age Guidelines for Youth Volunteering
- Teenagers who are 14-15 years old are welcome to volunteer with a parent or guardian sorting clothing. Both the Parent/guardian and youth who want to volunteer must follow the volunteer application process.
