For Youth

Supporting our community is the reason Valley Outreach is here.

A temporary service model is currently in effect.

We are currently welcoming a limited number of volunteers to support our COVID-19 response. With limited programming and our commitment to following CDC guidelines, we’re operating with fewer people for the time being.

If you are a new volunteer to Valley Outreach, please fill out our brief online application. If you are a current volunteer, please sign-up for a shift using the Volunteer Sign-In link on the top of our website.

We are accepting food and clothing donations through a no-contact, drive-up service model on Monday/Wednesday from noon to 3 p.m.

We are accepting financial donations online.

We welcome volunteers 14-17 years old (some restrictions apply). Please call 651-430-2739 or email  to discuss youth volunteer opportunities.

General Age Guidelines for Youth Volunteering

Because much of our volunteer work is completed in a warehouse environment, the safety of youth volunteers is paramount. Please adhere to the following age requirements for youth volunteering.

  • Teenagers 14-15 years old are welcome to volunteer with a parent or guardian sorting clothing.
  • Teenagers 16 and up are welcome to volunteer (no parent or guardian supervision required) in the food shelf and clothing program.

Youth Individual Volunteering

Youth ages 14 to 17 who want to volunteer must follow the volunteer application process.

Those who are 14-15 years old must have parent/guardian supervision while volunteering. Parent/guardian must also follow the volunteer application process.
