More about appointments
It’s easy to schedule appointments! We work hard managing our inventory so that everyone can get a wide selection of food and clothing – any appointment time is a good time to shop at Valley Outreach.
- Click Schedule Appointment
- Select the type of appointment you want (e.g., food only, clothing only, or both food and clothing)
- Select the time that works for you
- Click submit. That’s it! We’ll see you at your scheduled time.
We ask that shoppers follow these guidelines to help us shorten wait times for everyone:
- Arrive at Valley Outreach at your scheduled time. (Due to parking limitations, we ask that you do not arrive early.)
- Appointments are scheduled in 15-minute blocks of time. Your shopping will begin within 15 minutes of your appointment time.
- Only schedule one appointment at a time.
- If you are bringing others to shop, each person must schedule an appointment at that time.
- We are unable to accommodate walk-in appointments. We offer walk-in service hours on Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We also offer drive-up ordering and pick-up during all service hours.
Valley Outreach closes for the following holidays every year:
- New Year’s Holiday

- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth Holiday (Closed June 20, 2022)

TEFAP – The Emergency Food Assistance Program
You may hear or see the term TEFAP when visiting Valley Outreach, which stands for The Emergency Food Assistance Program. Because some of the food we receive comes from The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) through the USDA, one of our forms includes the TEFAP income eligibility guidelines. The weekly income guidelines are 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines for various family sizes. We will ask you to fill out this paperwork only so Valley Outreach is compliant with the TEFAP program. TEFAP is not a barrier to service at Valley Outreach.
The following charts show the maximum weekly income and maximum annual income levels by household size in compliance with TEFAP.
Annual Income Guidelines for TEFAP
For families/households with more than 8 persons, add $4,720 for each additional person.
