TEFAP – The Emergency Food Assistance Program
You may hear or see the term TEFAP when visiting Valley Outreach, which stands for The Emergency Food Assistance Program. Because some of the food we receive comes from The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) through the USDA, one of our forms includes the TEFAP income eligibility guidelines. The income guidelines are 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines for various family sizes. We will ask you to fill out this paperwork only so Valley Outreach is compliant with the TEFAP program. TEFAP is not a barrier to service at Valley Outreach.
The following charts show the annual income levels by household size in compliance with TEFAP.
Annual Income Guidelines for TEFAP
For families/households with more than 8 persons, add $5,140 for each additional person.
