This year, Valley Outreach is celebrating 40 years of service in the community! What started as the St. Croix Valley Food Shelf in 1983 has grown into the place neighbors turn to during challenging times—whether they need food, clothing or a deeper level of support.
We’ve learned a lot over the last 40 years, but nothing more important than this: everybody needs help, and that’s okay. As long as there is need, we will be here—taking care of the community, and making us all a little healthier, stronger and more stable.
Thanks to the support of a wide variety of volunteers, donors, and community members, we have been able to meet the increased demand for our services each year. And, as we reflect on our 40th year, we can’t help but think of what it will take to make consistent progress in alleviating poverty in our shared future. What can we accomplish together?
“Our clear call to action is to continue creating meaningful intersections and programs that positively impact those we serve. We need everyone’s input and ingenuity to shape our shared successes. There are no magic fixes, yet we have a community engaged and committed to doing better for more people. I ask everyone to think about what they take on – big or small – to contribute towards lasting impact.” Tracy Maki, CEO.
Will you help us celebrate 40 years of service in the community and support our vision for the next 40 years by making a $40 donation, or a gift meaningful to you, today?
