We’re continuing our Donation Need of the Month series, highlighting specific items where community support can make an immediate impact. This month, we’re focusing on household essentials — items that can be difficult for families to fit into their budgets but are essential for maintaining a safe and healthy home.
Why Donation Need of the Month?
Our Donation Need of the Month series shines a light on items that are especially important for our programs, but can be challenging to keep stocked. With rising costs and increased demand, community donations help us continue providing the everyday items people need most.
While food is a critical need, families often face challenges affording the household items that help keep their homes clean, comfortable, and healthy. Your donations help clients access these necessities while allowing their limited resources to go toward other important expenses.
What Household Essentials Are Needed?
Household items may seem simple, but they play an important role in helping families maintain stability and create a safe, healthy living environment.
Our most-needed items include:
- Individually wrapped paper towel rolls
- Cleaning products
- Laundry detergent
These everyday essentials can make a meaningful difference for those working to make ends meet. Having access to these supplies provides comfort, stability, and one less expense for families to worry about.
Interested in Helping?
If you’re out shopping this month, consider adding one or two of these items to your cart and dropping them off at Valley Outreach. Every item donated helps us keep essential supplies available for our neighbors.
You can also use our Drive Toolkit to host a donation drive at your workplace, school, or community group. The toolkit includes a donation drive poster and resources to help make organizing a collection easy.
