Volunteers are essential
Volunteers donate thousands of hours each year supporting Valley Outreach programs. They work in three main areas – our warehouse, food shelf, and StyleXchange, our clothing program. While April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, we are grateful for volunteers all year long. More than 350 volunteers support Valley Outreach every year! Volunteers make Valley Outreach a place where people feel respected, valued, and seen. We wouldn’t be the organization we are today without them.
Helping others is easy
“As our client service numbers keep growing, so does the need for volunteers,” Kenny McCoy, volunteer manager, encourages more people to get involved, “Volunteering at Valley Outreach is easy! We provide everything a volunteer needs to have a successful first day – we hope that the first day leads to more days. We have lots of shifts available and we can work with a variety of schedules.”
Join us!
If you’re looking for a place to give your time, we invite you to join us at Valley Outreach. Be part of a basic needs organization where transformative change can happen. According to Kenny, “I may be biased, but volunteering at Valley Outreach is a rewarding experience – you will leave with a new perspective and a full heart.”
I started volunteering to be helpful, but soon realized there was so much more to Valley Outreach. I am proud to be here – I love the staff, clients and other volunteers, it is my second home. – Sharon L. volunteer
Volunteers (like Sharon) that give more than 20 hours of their time (up to 500+ hours), are featured in our Annual Impact Report.
