Programs and donations are closed the week of Sept. 23-27.
At Valley Outreach, we welcome everyone. Clients, volunteers, donors, community members – all are invited into a safe, respectful space. Beginning September 23, 2024, we’re giving our building a makeover that elevates the exterior of our facility. We strive to make our programs as inclusive and accessible as possible. Now we’re aligning the exterior of our building with the warm, welcoming environment people experience once they enter our doors.
During the week of Sept. 23 – 27, the Valley Outreach parking lot will be closed to allow contractors to do their work safely. During this time, the contractors will work on the concrete in the front of the building and begin painting in the back.
Enhancing Curb Appeal with Purpose
This project isn’t just about fresh paint. New awnings, clear signage, new lights, more accessible entrances, and modern sliding doors are all part of the plan.
These improvements will make our building more visible and accessible, in addition to much-needed maintenance. The building is critical to our mission, and we’re committed to being a good caretaker for years to come.
We plan to finish the updates by the end of December 2024. As with all construction projects, there might be setbacks. But we’re hopeful things will go smoothly.

We’ll keep you posted on any changes to our hours or services during the renovation.
Special Funding Makes This Possible
We’re grateful to the Fred C. & Katherine B. Andersen Foundation for funding these improvements. This one-time grant is specifically for the renovation and is completely separate from our operating budget; meaning, we cannot use this grant to buy food or expand programming. It has a separate, designated purpose. We’re also proud to be working with Market & Johnson and HW2 Design on this project. Their generosity and partnership have been invaluable.
We can’t wait to see our new exterior project unfold!
We’re excited for our building to match what we’ve always been – a welcoming place where people can find help to move their lives forward.
