Providing food for our neighbors in need has been a priority for Valley Outreach for more than 35 years. It will continue to be in the coming weeks. In fact, the need for our food programming will likely be greater than ever.
With the updated recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Health and the CDC to take further measures to minimize physical contact, we will be closed to the public on Monday, March 16. The team will use that time to thoughtfully design a new temporary service model that considers an increase in demand, the importance of food and nutrition during stressful times and the well-being of our shoppers, volunteers, donors and staff.
Information for Clients
If you are a client in critical need of food, you will be able to get food on Monday through a drive-up service model. If you can wait until Tuesday, March 17 or later when we have our new temporary service model up and running, we would appreciate it. We want to minimize disruptions to service as much as possible and need the time on Monday to make effective adjustments to our operations.
Information for Donors
If you are a donor and would like to help, please make a financial donation to help us rise to meet the expected increase in demand for our services.
We encourage everyone to stay tuned to our social media channels and website for more information following our Monday planning session.
