Every November, Minnesotans come together for Give to the Max Day, our state’s biggest celebration of generosity. Hosted by GiveMN, this annual giving event inspires people across Minnesota to support the causes that strengthen our communities. Give to the Max Day 2025 takes place on Thursday, November 20, but early giving runs November 1–20—so you can make a difference all month long!
Your Donation Comes at a Critical Time
This November, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and MFIP recipients could face benefit suspensions due to federal funding disruptions caused by the ongoing government shutdown. About 8% of Minnesotans rely on SNAP — including roughly 5,000 residents here in Washington County (as of 2021). For every 1 meal a food shelf can provide, SNAP provides the equivalent of 9 meals.
While the weeks ahead remain uncertain, Valley Outreach has always met uncertainty the same way: by showing up for people. Our mission remains steady and strong: helping people move their lives forward through basic needs, services, and personalized support.
Make Your Giving Go Further
Thanks to a generous $150,000 Challenge Match, your donation this November will go even further. With your support, we aim to triple the match to $450,000 before January 1, 2026, providing food, clothing, and personalized services to local families.
Golden Tickets are random chance drawings! Each gift you make during Give to the Max automatically enters you to win. If GiveMN draws your gift, Valley Outreach will receive an additional prize grant—no extra steps needed.
Make your gift go even further during $6,000 Power Hours. On November 20th, donate between 10:00–10:59 a.m. or 10:00–10:59 p.m. for the chance to help Valley Outreach earn a share of a $6,000 prize pool.
Spread Kindness This November
Even a small act of generosity can make a significant difference. That’s why we’re pairing Give to the Max season with our November Kindness Calendar—a month of small, meaningful actions to spread kindness and connection. From donating and volunteering to sharing kind words, every act helps strengthen our community.
