At Valley Outreach, easy access to food has always been at the heart of our work. For more than 40 years, we’ve partnered with the community to ensure people have the food they need to move their lives forward. In that spirit, we’re glad to share updates to our Food Delivery Program, designed to make food access simple for those who are unable to visit Valley Outreach in person.
What is Our Food Delivery Program?
Our Food Delivery Program is available to community members who are unable to travel to Valley Outreach to access food services. Eligible individuals may request one food delivery per week, helping ensure consistent access to groceries for those who are homebound.
What’s Included in a Food Delivery?
Each delivery includes a well-rounded selection of groceries to support individuals and families, including:
- Fresh fruits and vegetables
- Milk
- Frozen meat
- A variety of shelf-stable, non-perishable items
Items may vary week to week based on availability, but we always strive to provide nutritious and balanced options.
Eligibility Requirements:
This program is available to individuals who:
- Cannot travel to the food shelf
- Do not have someone who can pick up food for them (learn more about how to assign someone else to pick up food for you)
- Believe they qualify based on the income guidelines (see information here) or are in crisis
- Live in Washington County, Minnesota
How the Food Delivery Process Works:
Getting started is simple:
- Submit a food delivery request online.
- A Valley Outreach staff member will confirm eligibility within two business days.
- Once approved, deliveries are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Delivery times are:
- Mondays and Fridays: 1:00–4:00 PM
- Wednesdays: 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
Once your delivery is confirmed, you will need to sign up again each week by clicking the button below.
