Happening this month at Valley Outreach
You can make a difference and donate today!
Through a onetime grant from the F.R. Bigelow Foundation we
can match new and increased donations, one-to-one up to $10,000.
The news is that unemployment is at an all-time low. Yet the
number of people using our programming is at an all-time high. Why is that?
It’s because wages continue to be low, jobs are not as stable as they once were
and health care, child care and housing costs outpace wage growth. Washington
County is one of the most expensive places to live in Minnesota.
We’ve learned a lot in 35 years, but nothing more important
than this: everybody needs help. And as long as there’s need, Valley Outreach
will be here – making us all a little healthier, stronger and more stable.
We’re a community-powered organization. Your donations are critical to keep
good food on our shelves, new socks and undies available, professional and
caring people on staff and even to keep the lights on. Thank you! MAKE YOUR DONATION HERE
Feed the Valley Cook's Challenge 2018
Thank you to all the attendees, sponsors and donors who made Feed the Valley Cook’s Challenge Year 5 a success. Through your generosity raised more than $147,000 for Valley Outreach programs! Our mission-focused event highlighted the work we do with the generous support of community members - from wine bottles in socks (representative of the 15,000 pairs of socks and underwear we gave out last year) to the balsamic vinegar at each place setting (seasonings are a top 5 most wanted item for our food shelf).Click here for pictures of the evening and learn more about this one-of-kind event.
Helping Our Neighbors in Need since 1983!
Valley Outreach works to provide the most basic human needs of food, clothing, and emergency financial assistance for heat, housing, and other crucial needs, to eligible St. Croix Valley residents. We provide these services in a welcoming and non-judgmental manner that maintains our clients’ dignity. Our service delivery model is specifically designed to demonstrate our focus on respect, support, empowerment, and providing hope to our clients as they move towards self-sufficiency.
